Shocking information has come out in the case of the killing of a female practicing doctor in Kolkata. It is suspected that she was sexually assaulted after the murder.
R.G.Medical College Hospital is operating in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal. No one expected such a thing to happen at Khar Medical College Hospital. The facility treats thousands of outpatients and around 1,500 inpatients daily. Most places are always busy. Guards and CCTV Cameras are no less.
In one such place a woman was found dead, half naked. She is a post graduate medical student. His fellow students were shocked to see him lying disheveled in the seminar hall.
As usual, the police started investigating this case with the suspicion of suicide. Why should a female doctor on duty commit suicide with half her body clothed? If his purpose was to give life, should he accomplish it in this way? The questions themselves confirmed that it was not suicide.
The investigation returned to the angle that the female doctor might have been sexually assaulted and murdered. The autopsy report also confirmed it. An autopsy revealed injuries to the lip, right arm, neck, abdomen and genitals and a fractured neck bone.
This news sent shockwaves not only in Kolkata but across the country. CCTV Police intensified investigation with the help of footage. On the 8th, the female doctor who was on night duty sat with her 4 friends in the seminar hall and had food. After all the friends left, only the female doctor rested for a while.
Then at 4 o’clock in the morning, a person wearing a BLUETOOTH EARPHONE entered the seminar hall. About 40 minutes later when the man left the BLUETOOTH EARPHONE was missing. It was found near the dead female doctor.
After confirming that the man was the killer, the police started searching for him. It was none other than Sanjay Roy who worked as a volunteer at the police station in the hospital complex.
He often visits the hospital and has CCTV in the seminar hall. I know there is no camera. Also doctors on night shift are known to come there as there is no private room to rest. Sanjay Roy used it to mutilate and brutally kill a female doctor. A boxer, he brutally assaults a medical student and leaves her in a state of disorientation.
After raping and murdering a woman, Sanjay went to his residence and slept for a few hours without any tension. He then cleans his bloodstained clothes and erases the traces. However, the police traced him through the BLUETOOTH EARPHONE and arrested Sanjay Roy. A blood-stained SHOE was also recovered from his house.
A search of Sanjay Roy’s cell phone revealed unnatural sex videos. Police say the 33-year-old has already been married four times. It is also reported that Sanjay Roy’s 4 wives have separated because they could not deal with his sexual problems.
The police seem to suspect that Sanjay Roy may have first strangled the woman doctor and then raped her. The police have detained him for 5 days and are actively investigating.
In spite of the legal proceedings, doctors and nurses across West Bengal are engaged in strike action demanding justice for the death of the female doctor. BJP, Congress and Left parties have also jumped into the fray against the West Bengal government.
Alleging that there is an attempt to hide the truth in the matter, the parents of the medical student have also demanded a CBI investigation. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that there is nothing to hide in the murder of the female doctor. He has said that action will be taken to get severe punishment for the culprit and he has also said that he has no objection to the CBI investigating the case.
However, the doctors were not ready to accept Mamata’s peace. Doctors, medical students and nurses held a candlelight vigil protesting the lack of security in the hospital. The doctors’ associations have warned that if appropriate action is not taken on this issue, they will go on a nationwide strike.
Meanwhile, the crime committed by Sandeep Ghosh, principal of R.G.Khar Medical College Hospital, has resigned from his post. He stated that the murdered student was like his daughter and said that he is resigning on the basis that he is also a father. Sandeep Ghosh also insisted that the culprits should be given severe punishment.
Is Sanjay Roy the real culprit? Is anyone else involved in this case? Doubts are also raised. All in all, it is no exaggeration to say that the Kolkata medical student case is turning out to be another nirbhaya.
