People are shocked if there are 22 consecutive earthquakes in eastern Taiwan on Wednesday.
The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued. The quake, which started at 6.52 am, was followed by a series of aftershocks in various parts of the city.
The first quake, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale, was recorded in other parts of the country at 3 to 5 magnitude. Frightened by the 22 earthquakes in a row, people fled their homes.
