The Bahujan Samaj Party has complained to the Election Commission that the elephant symbol belongs to us.
Vijay, who started a political party under the name of Tamil Nadu Victory League, introduced the party’s new flag in Chennai on the 22nd. Inscribed with red, yellow, red on a banana vine between 2 elephants in the middle. Vijay has announced that he will explain the explanation of the party flag at the party conference to be held next month.
In this situation, the Bahujan Samaj Party has complained to the Election Commission that the elephant symbol on the flag belongs to us. In that petition, we are using the elephant symbol, the recognized election symbol of our party, on the flag across India. The elephant symbol is the national symbol of the Bahujan Samaj Party.
In this situation, Vijay, who is starting a new party, is using the image of an elephant in his party flag. We objected to this. But Vijay has not given us any response and has not taken any action to remove it. Therefore, the illegal image of the elephant in the Vijay party flag should be removed, the petition said.
Tamil Nadu Victory League President Vijay held a consultation with Party General Secretary Bussi Anand and legal experts regarding this matter. It is said that it has been decided to give a suitable explanation to the Bahujan Samaj Party complaint if a formal letter is received from the Election Commission asking for an explanation.
An executive of Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam said about this that there is an election rule that no one else should use the party symbol. The use of elephants in our party flag is not compatible with any party symbol or flag. He said that if the Election Commission sends a notice asking for an explanation, we will give a suitable explanation.
