Prime Minister Narendra Modi won his hat-trick victory by a margin of one and a half lakh votes in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi constituency.
The results of the Lok Sabha elections and 4 state legislative elections reported across the country were counted.
At the start of this vote counting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who contested in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi, was lagging behind.
Congress candidate Ajay Roy, who contested against him in Varanasi, was present.
In subsequent rounds, PM Modi took the lead by getting more votes. In this case, Prime Minister Modi has registered his hat-trick victory by getting 6 lakh 12 thousand 970 votes.
The Election Commission officially announced that he won by a margin of 1 lakh 52 thousand 513 votes.
Earlier in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi had won the Varanasi constituency by a margin of 4.79 lakh votes.
