External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that the time for unhindered talks with Pakistan is over.
Speaking at the book launch event in Delhi, Jaishankar said:
I think the time for unhindered talks with Pakistan is over. Every action has consequences. As far as Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, Article 370, which granted special status to the Union Territory, is a dead end. So the question now is what kind of relationship can be maintained with Pakistan.
In his book, Rajiv Sikri suggests that India may be content to continue with the status quo in terms of relations with Pakistan. Sometimes the answer is yes and sometimes no. We are not quiet people. We will react to events whether they are positive or negative,” he said.
