YS Rajasekhara Reddy, a senior leader in the Congress party and the caretaker Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, was killed in a helicopter crash in 2009. Following this, Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of Rajasekara Reddy, who left the party due to contempt of the Congress, joined the YSR Congress. Started a new political party called the Congress.
After that he conducted walkouts and public meetings in Andhra Pradesh. The Congress party was put on the throne. Jagan Mohan Reddy has been attracting the attention of the people by making innovative announcements to attract the people since he took over as the Chief Minister.
In this situation, his sister Sharmila (47), who was born with him, has started a new political party called YSR Telangana in Telangana. The inauguration ceremony of the new party was held yesterday on Rajasekara Reddy’s birthday. In the absence of Jagan Mohan Reddy, only his mother Vijayamma was present.
Sharmila started the YSR Telangana Party with the three slogans of self-improvement, people’s well-being and equality. Apart from this, he has promised to bring ‘Rajanna Rajyam’ in Telangana. That is, he has said that he will hand over the rule of his father Rajasekara to the people of Telangana.
Introducing the navy blue party flag, Sharmila has accused Chandrasekara, who is currently ruling Telangana, of not fulfilling his promises to the people.
The details of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s stance on the issue of starting a sister new party have not yet been made public.
