BJP state president Annamalai has said that there is a suspicion that the DMK government is trying to stop duaram dal and palm oil from ration shops.
In a statement issued by Annamalai in this regard,
It is strongly condemned that the DMK government, which had neglected to provide Duaram dal and palm oil in the ration shops last May citing the rules of electoral conduct, has not fully distributed them to the public even after two months have passed.
In January this year, citing financial crunch, there were reports that ration shops were going to stop selling dal and palm oil.
After strong opposition from the public, the DMK government abandoned the decision. Three years after the DMK came to power with a false promise of providing one kg of urad dal and sugar in ration shops, no action has been taken in this regard.
There is a suspicion that the DMK government is trying to stop the supply of duram dal and palm oil.
What happened to the DMK government calling for tenders for the purchase of 60,000 tonnes of duram dal and 6 crore liters of palm oil in February this year, days before they came into effect, through the Chamber of Commerce?
In several districts, there were reports of hundreds of tonnes of substandard pulses being sent back. What action has the DMK government taken so far on those companies?
Annamalai has urged the DMK government to stop looking for reasons to hide their incompetence and immediately take steps to provide palm and duram dal to the public in the ration shops for the two months of May and June and take strict action against the companies that sent substandard duram dal. .
