Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai has questioned how the DMK government allowed Minister Murthy’s procession only when Section 144 was imposed in Madurai.
In a post he posted in this regard, he said: “Just as it has been protecting DMK members involved in various criminal incidents across Tamil Nadu from legal action, is the DMK government also allowing Minister Murthy to act outside the law?” he asked.
The High Court itself has condemned the DMK for acting in a discriminatory manner by granting permission only to DMK meetings and not allowing opposition parties including the BJP to protest.
In this situation, while organizations including the Hindu Munnani had announced a democratic protest to protect the sanctity of the Thiruparankundram Subramanya Swamy Hill, the DMK government, which imposed the ban with the sole aim of preventing public unrest, has made a mockery of democracy by allowing the procession of the DMK, which is the source of crimes across Tamil Nadu.
Annamalai also said that the DMK government, which is flouting the laws of the country and acting beyond its limits, will definitely have to pay the price for this.
