A review meeting was held at the Wayanad Collector’s Office in connection with the landslides under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Prime Minister Modi inspected the damage caused by the landslide while walking across the temporary bridge set up by the Indian Army in the landslide-hit Suralmalai area. After this, Prime Minister Modi met the people who were affected by the landslide and stayed in the camp and offered condolences.
Following this, a review meeting was held in the Wayanad Collectorate headed by Prime Minister Modi regarding the landslide. Prime Minister Modi spoke in this meeting;
The Wayanad disaster has shattered the dreams of thousands of families. Ever since the landslide, I have been monitoring every task. Necessary assistance was provided to the Government of Kerala following the landslides.
The Wayanad disaster was not ordinary. I met the people affected by the landslide. We are responsible for the future of disaster affected families. Necessary aid will be provided to Kerala soon. He said.
