President Draupathi Murmu and New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Lacson reiterated their commitment to improve bilateral relations.
President Draupadi Murmu arrived in New Zealand yesterday on the second leg of his three-nation tour. He was presented with New Zealand’s ‘Royal God of Honour’ upon his arrival.
Murmu met the Prime Minister of New Zealand Christopher Lacson. Both sides reiterated their commitment to promote education, speech and culture.
Meanwhile, Murmu attended and addressed the New Zealand International Education Conference held in Wellington. Then, ‘Education is not only for the development of an individual, but it is a tool for the development of the society and the nation. Among foreign students in New Zealand, the second highest number is 8,000 Indian students who are getting quality education in New Zealand, he said.
