15 police officers have been announced with special medals on the occasion of Independence Day.
In a press release issued by the Government of Tamil Nadu, it has been stated that:-
The following 10 police officers have been selected to be awarded Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Police Investigation Medals on the occasion of Independence Day 2024 in recognition of their excellent work in investigation work and appreciation for their commitment and dedication.

- K. Punitha, Police Inspector, Cyber Crime Police Station, Vellore District
- Th. Vinod Kumar, Police Inspector, Cyber Crime Cell, Central Crime Branch, Chennai.
- S. Selamia, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Prohibition Enforcement Division, Cuddalore District.
- I. Sornavalli, Police Inspector, Cyber Crime Police Station, Tirupur City.
- Na. Parvathi, Inspector of Police, Crime Branch, Crime Branch, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District.
- P. Radha, Police Inspector, Crime Branch, Criminal Investigation Department, Tirupur.
- Sr. Bhujaendi Ganesh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chengalpattu Utkotam, Chengalpattu District.
- Ira Theivarani, Inspector of Police, Perundurai Police Circle, Erode District.
- b. Anbarasi, Inspector of Police, Ponnai Police Station, Velwar District.
- N. Suresh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Rural Utkotam, Tuticorin District.
Similarly, the following 5 police officers, who have worked tirelessly and selflessly in the service of the public, will be awarded the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Police Medal for Outstanding Public Service on the occasion of Independence Day 2024:-
- Tha.S. love E.K.P., Head of Police, Crime Branch, Criminal Investigation Department, Chennai.
- E. Karthik, ECPA, Superintendent of Police-1, Special Branch Crime Investigation Department, Chennai.
- CR Bhupathirajan, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Special Branch Criminal Investigation Department, Salem Saragam.
- K. Srinivasan, Inspector of Police (ST), Police Telecommunication Division, Chennai.
- BC Mubaidullah, Assistant Inspector of Police, Internal Security Division, Special Organized Crime Intelligence Unit, Headquarters, Chennai.
Each of the awardees will receive a gold medal weighing 8 grams and a cash prize of Rs 25,000. The above awards will be presented by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M.K.Stalin at a later function. It says so.
