Ravi Shastri has said that Indian bowlers like Shami, Bumrah, Siraj, Ashwin are bad.
The Indian cricket team will tour Australia in November to play a 5-match Test series (Border-Gavaskar Trophy). The series starts on November 22.
India, who had been facing only defeats in Australia for a long time, won the series on Australian soil for the first time under the leadership of Virat Kohli in 2018/19. Similarly, in the 2020/21 series, under the leadership of Rakhine, India again won the trophy (Border-Gavaskar Trophy) on Australian soil with a score of 2 – 1.
Will India defeat the team in Australia for the third consecutive Test series? Fans are waiting eagerly.
However, Ricky Ponting and Adam Gilchrist have said that Australia will win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy this time to avenge the last 2 defeats. Sunil Gavaskar responded that India will win again with the score of 3-1 as there are some problems in the Australian team’s batting.
In this case, former player and coach Ravi Shastri has said that Indian bowlers like Shami, Bumrah, Siraj, Ashwin are bad. On the other hand, the Australian batting line-up does not have a stable opening pair due to the retirement of David Warner, he said.
So he suggested that India can win the series this time too if they use it. Ravi Shastri also expressed his pride that the 2018-19, 2020-21 Test cricket series won in Australia are 24 carat gold equivalent to the World Cup.
He spoke about it as follows:- “Our bowlers are bit. That will be a challenge for Australia. Australia’s batting line-up is not as strong as it used to be. Some of their players have retired or some players are at the end of their careers, while most of the players are settled. So We are likely to win against Australia.
But Australia will compete fiercely. There is no question about it. Border – The Gavaskar Trophy may not be the World Cup. But winning those trophies as a coach in Australia was the biggest moment of my career. I was part of the 1983 World Cup and 1985 World Championship victories. But those two wins in Australia are like 24 carat gold.”
