Prime Minister Modi, who went to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei on a 2-day visit, was given an enthusiastic welcome by the government of that country.
On the occasion of completion of 40 years of diplomatic relations between India and Brunei, the King of Brunei, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, invited Prime Minister Modi to visit the country.
Following this, Prime Minister Modi was enthusiastically welcomed by the country’s Crown Prince Haji Al-Muhtadi Billa who reached Brunei’s capital Bandar Seri Begawan. Later, Prime Minister Modi visited the military parade in Brunei.
Later, when Prime Minister Modi arrived at the hotel, he was welcomed by people of Indian origin with cheers and banners. Prime Minister Modi signed the Indian National Flag drawing by the girl and praised her. At that time, Prime Minister Modi held the children of Indian origin in his arms. People of Indian origin enjoyed taking selfies with him.
Later, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the new building for the Indian Embassy in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. Embassy officials and people of Indian origin participated in the event.
