Neeraj Chopra wins silver medal in javelin throw at Paris Olympics.
The 33rd Olympic Games are underway in Paris, the capital of France. 206 sportsmen and women have participated in this sports festival which has reached its final stage. The men’s javelin throw final was held today.
In this, Pakistani player Arshad Nadeem threw a distance of 92.97 meters and won the gold medal. He was followed by India’s Neeraj Chopra who finished 2nd with a distance of 89.45 and won the silver medal. Grenada’s Anderson Peters finished third with a throw of 88.54 to win the bronze medal.
Earlier, Neeraj Chopra had won gold in javelin throw at Tokyo Olympics with a throw of 87.58m. It is noteworthy that India has won 4 bronze medals so far in this year’s Olympics and has now won its first silver medal.
