Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and U.P. Manik Saga thanks Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for providing financial support to the state
Tripura has been experiencing continuous heavy rains for the past few days. The heavy rain caused flooding of roads and residential areas and led to landslides. 26 people have lost their lives due to floods across the state. A total of 17 lakh people are estimated to have been affected by the floods, of which 1.37 lakh are reported to have lost their homes.
Roads, buildings, power lines, embankments and agricultural lands were extensively damaged by the floods. According to the officials, the damage caused by the flood is about 15 thousand crore rupees. Although the waters of all major rivers have receded, around 70,000 people are still sheltered in 471 relief camps.
Meanwhile, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saga said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has promised to send a central team soon to assess the damage caused by the floods. He said that when the central committee comes, the state government will present the true picture of the disasters caused by the floods.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and U.P. Saga thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for providing financial assistance to the state. In this regard, he said, “Yogi Adityanath has spoken to me and donated Rs. 10 crore for rehabilitation works in the flood-affected areas. The Madhya Pradesh government has also given Rs. 20 crore for rehabilitation work. The central government will definitely help Tripura in these difficult times.”
