The Municipal Court dismissed the corruption complaint against Chief Minister Edyurappa.
Chief Minister Eduyurappa, his son and BJP vice-president PO Vijayendra, son-in-law Virupaksha Emaganamaradi, grandson Sachithmaradi, Sanjay Sree, Chandrakanth Ramalingam, Minister SD Somasek, IAS officer Dr GC Prakash, K.V. J. Abraham had filed a private complaint in the Municipal Court alleging corruption.
The petition had alleged that corruption had taken place in the housing scheme of the Bangalore Development Authority and that Eva was involved in it. In the petition, Abraham had sought an order directing the relevant inquiry body to register a first information report on those involved, in view of these allegations punishable under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, Indian Penal Code, 1860 and other sections of the law.
The Bangalore Municipal Court, which heard the case, dismissed the petition on the ground that it could not be accepted alone without prior permission. Abraham later stated that he would like to appeal against the fire.
