Prime Minister Modi has said that the cost-effective SSLV rocket will play an important role in space programmes.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has designed the SSLV-T3 rocket to launch light weight satellites. The SSLV-T3 rocket was successfully launched yesterday morning carrying the EOS-08 satellite designed for Earth observation operations.
The fuel for the three-stage SSLV-T3 rocket is of solid type. The rocket successfully placed the satellite into low Earth orbit exactly 13 minutes after its scheduled liftoff.
Prime Minister Modi has congratulated the ISRO scientists. In a related post on the X site, he said, “SSLV-T3 rocket successfully launched, a remarkable milestone! Congratulations to our scientists and industry for this achievement.
It is a very happy thing that India now has a new rocket. A cost-effective SSLV rocket will play an important role in space travel and will also encourage private industry. My best wishes to ISRO and the entire space industry,” he said.
