ISRO will launch EOS-08 satellite on SSLV-T3 rocket on 16th.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has designed a state-of-the-art 175.5 kg satellite called EOS-08 for Earth observation operations. This satellite is a small SSLV. It was slated to launch on Independence Day morning (August 15) from the launch pad at Sriharikota on a T-3 rocket.
In this case, it has been reported that the EOS-08 satellite will be launched from the first launch pad at the Space Research Center on the 16th (Friday) at 9.17 am by the SSLV-T3 rocket.
The EOS-08 satellite carries an Electro-Optical Infrared payload (EOIR), Global Navigation Satellite System-Reflectometry payload (JNSS-R) and SIC. UV dosimeters are attached. The tenure of these instruments is one year.
This satellite will photograph and monitor the Earth 24 hours a day. It is useful for applications like disaster monitoring, environmental monitoring, fire detection etc. The refueling work for this rocket is in full swing.
Rockets and satellites are constantly monitored by scientists. ISRO scientists said that the final countdown before launching the rocket will begin tomorrow (Thursday).
