BJP National Spokesperson Shesad Poonawalla slammed the All India Party leaders for speaking in favor of the accused in the Mumbai encounter incident.
Akshay Shinde was arrested and jailed in the case of the sexual assault of two girls studying in a private school in Badlapur near Mumbai, Maharashtra. Meanwhile, the police took Akshay Shinde from Taloja Jail to Badlapur in a police vehicle for questioning based on a complaint filed by his second wife.
When he came near Mumbai, he suddenly snatched the gun from the policeman and started shooting in a barrage. While some of the policemen were injured, Akshay Shinde was seriously injured when police inspector Sanjay shot him. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis explained that the accused grabbed the gun of the police and opened fire on him.
While opposition parties have protested the firing incident, BJP National Spokesperson Shesad Poonawalla has slammed the All India Party leaders. In the video released by him, he said that the people of Badlapur are relieved because the accused in the rape case died in firing.
Mourning the death of the accused, the India Alliance said it was not appropriate to talk about the safety of women and children. He also criticized the India alliance for trying to save those involved in the Kolkata woman doctor’s murder case and said that it is shameful to speak in favor of the accused in the Mumbai encounter incident.
