The 17th Paralympic Games for the differently abled are underway in Paris, the capital of France. Indian athlete Preeti Pal won the bronze medal in the women’s 200m T35 event held yesterday. Earlier, Preity Pal had also won bronze in women’s 100m T35 event.
In this situation, President Draupathi Murmu and Prime Minister Modi have congratulated Preeti who won her second bronze medal in the Para Olympics. President Drarubathi Murmu said in a post in this regard, “Congratulations to Preeti Pal for winning bronze medal in women’s 200m – D35 at the Paris Para Olympics. This is her second medal at the Paralympics after her 100m bronze, an exceptional achievement.
He has also won two para athletics medals for India. India is proud of him. The photos taken by him draped in the tricolor electrified the sports lovers. He will strengthen the sports culture among the youth and win more accolades for India.”
In a post released by Prime Minister Modi, he said, “By winning bronze in the women’s 200m T35 at the Paralympics, Preeti Pal has achieved a historic feat, her second medal in the same event. She is an inspiration to the people of India. Her dedication is truly remarkable.”
