Women’s Development Council has written a letter to the President Draupadi Murmu to ensure their safety in the face of incidents of violence against Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina, who resigned from the post of Prime Minister of Bangladesh on the 5th due to the continuous protest of students in Bangladesh, took refuge in Delhi.
Subsequently, the protest against Sheikh Hasina turned into violence against Hindus and minorities when the interim government was formed under the leadership of Mohammad Yunus in Bangladesh.
In this case, the ‘Women’s Development Forum’ has written a letter to the President Draupadi Murmu urging him to ensure the safety of the vulnerable Bangladeshi Hindus.
In it, it has been reported that people are being attacked in Hindu places of worship and women are being sexually harassed.
It is also mentioned that Hindus are being attacked and forced to migrate and many have died in the attack.
Therefore, the ‘Women’s Development Forum’ has requested that President Draupadi take steps to end the violence against Hindus by holding talks with the Bangladesh government.
Apart from that, it has also been informed that the central government should take action and provide appropriate relief to the affected people of Bangladesh.
