Today is the 9th day of rescue operation in Wayanad areas.
A terrible landslide occurred in Wayanad, Kerala on the 30th. In this, the hill villages have been fragmented. More than 400 people died in the landslide. Also, the areas of Mundakkai, Suralmalai, Attamalai and Punchirimattam have been covered and eroded to such an extent that they cannot be seen.
Landslide evacuees are collecting belongings and documents left in their homes. Police have stepped up patrols following reports of thefts at homes there. Restrictions have been imposed on volunteers involved in rescue operations. The search for the missing people in the landslide is going on for the 9th consecutive day.
In this situation, Kerala State Power Minister Krishnan Kutty has ordered that consumers in the landslide-affected areas of Wayanad will not be charged electricity for 6 months. Meanwhile, the work of assessing the damage caused by the landslide in Wayanad has started. For this, 10 teams are inspecting in person.
