Senthil Balaji was produced through video after his judicial custody ended today.
Former Minister Senthil Balaji, who was arrested by the enforcement department under the Prohibition of Unlawful Money Transfer Act, is lodged in Puzhal Jail. Subsequently, the Madras Principal Sessions Court and the Madras High Court dismissed the petitions filed by Senthilbalaji seeking bail. Subsequently, Senthil Balaji filed a bail petition in the Supreme Court. The petition is pending.
In this case, Senthil Balaji was produced through video after the court custody ended today. Then Judge Alli of the Principal Sessions Court of Madras ordered to extend his judicial custody till the 3rd. With this, Senthil Balaji’s judicial custody has been extended for the 57th time. Also, cross-examination did not take place today as Harish Kumar, who worked as the Chief Manager of City Union Bank’s Karur branch, was not present.
