Opposition parties staged a walkout condemning the action of Rajya Sabha Speaker Jagadeep Dhankar.
The Monsoon Session of Parliament was going on. The budget was presented when the session began. After that, the debate on the budget speech is going on in both houses of the Parliament. Since the beginning of the session, members of parliament have been continuously involved in raising various issues in the House.
Meanwhile, the MPs of the Congress and other parties have alleged that the opposition parties were not given a chance to speak in the Rajya Sabha. Congress leader Mallikarjuna Kharge is not given enough respect and the ruling party is talking about him in the wrong way. “He was not given a chance to speak,” said the Congress MP. Jayaram Ramesh said. Subsequently, there was a spat of words between Jagadeep Dhankar, Samajwadi MP and Jaya Bachchan.
Opposition MPs walked out of the Rajya Sabha saying they were not given a chance to speak. As a result, Rajya Sabha was adjourned to 2 pm, 2.30 pm and 3 pm. Speaker of the House Jagdeep Dhankar expressed his concern over the behavior of the opposition members inside and outside the House.
The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned without specifying a date due to continuous agitation, verbal clashes and walkouts. Following this, it has been announced that people have also been postponed. Parliament has been adjourned after the walkout opposition parties did not return.
The Monsoon session of the Parliament was scheduled to last till Monday, but it ended a day earlier due to opposition parties.
