The three-tier Gram Panchayat elections were held in Tripura on 8th. In this election, BJP which is in power in that state. It won in 97 percent seats.
BJP won 71 per cent seats in gram panchayats, panchayat samitis and zilla parishads. The candidates were elected unopposed. Subsequently, the polling for the remaining 29 percent seats was held on the 8th, and the results were announced yesterday.
In this 584 gram panchayats, 34 panchayat samitis and 8 zilla parishads have BJP. has succeeded. BJP won 96 seats in 8 Zilla Parishads. 93 seats, Congress won 2 seats and CPM one seat.
As far as the panchayat samitis is concerned, the BJP won in 188 places where polling took place. In 173 seats, CPM won 6 seats and Congress won 8 seats.
Likewise, in 1,819 places where polling was held in Gram Panchayats, BJP won. Notably, it has won 1,476 seats, CPM 148 seats, Congress 151 seats and Dibra Motha 24 seats.
BJP’s average success rate is 97 percent, according to Tripura BJP. President Rajeev Bhattacharjee said. Regarding this, Chief Minister Manik Saga said, “These election results show that people have faith in Prime Minister Modi and his development plans. Currently, BJP has won 97 percent seats. We will work to win 100 percent seats in the future.”
