While the BJP is preparing to form a coalition government at the centre, a consultative meeting of the NDA alliance was held today. In this meeting, Prime Minister Modi was chosen as the NDA alliance leader for the 3rd time.
No party got the 272 seats required for a majority in the Lok Sabha elections. Due to this, the BJP has been forced to form a coalition government this time. BJP now needs the favor of United Janata Dal and Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu.
BJP-led National Democratic Alliance has 292 seats. The Congress-led India Alliance has 234 seats. Other parties got 17 seats. India has been saying that even if the alliance does not have enough numbers to form the government, it will not let the BJP form the government and we have strategies for that.
The national capital has been at its peak since the counting of votes, as it is said that the Indian alliance may try to woo Nitish Kumar and Chandrababu Naidu of the NDA. It is also said that Modi is planning to take office on the 8th.
It is also expected that he will meet the President soon and claim the right to form the government. Amid such excitement, a meeting of the National Democratic Alliance parties was held at Modi’s residence in Delhi. Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu and others also participated in this meeting. In this meeting, Modi was elected as the President of the National Democratic Alliance for the 3rd time.
Chandrababu Naidu and JTU President Nitish Kumar have written letters expressing their support to Prime Minister Modi. A resolution was passed in the National Democratic Council meeting to reinstate Prime Minister Modi. After the support of 15 parties, Prime Minister Modi was chosen as the leader and the deenman was passed. Subsequently, Prime Minister Modi was unanimously elected as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance in this meeting.
