25 toll booths in Tamil Nadu will increase toll from 5 to 7 percent from 1st.
The toll plazas are under the control of the National Highways Authority. There are a total of 67 toll plazas in Tamil Nadu. These tolls are changed twice a year in the months of April and September. Due to the election, the fares were not increased in April this year. In contrast, in June, charges were revised at 36 toll booths. Tolls at these toll booths have been hiked up to 5 percent.
In this situation, from September 1, the fee will be increased at other 25 toll booths. It has been reported that the toll will be increased by 5 to 7 percent. By this, the vehicles passing through these toll booths will have to pay Rs.5 to Rs.150 in addition to the existing toll.
