As the issue of Tirupati lad adulteration has created a stir, a sample of the ghee used to make laddu at the Yadatri temple in Telangana has been sent for testing.
Bhaskara Rao, executive officer of the Yadatri temple, who informed about this, said that this action has been taken to remove the doubts raised in the mind of the devotees regarding the ghee used in the temple. He also said that the results of the study related to ghee will be released on September 30.
25,000 to 30,000 laddus are prepared daily using 600 to 700 kg of ghee in the Yadatri temple, and 25,000 devotees visit the temple daily.
Similarly, the state government has informed that the Prasad prepared in all the temples in Uttarakhand will be subjected to inspection. Also, strict action will be taken if adulteration is found in the offerings.
